The Lopez Seafaring and Voyaging Program (LOSVOP) was started in 2006 by Richard Fagen, Steven Brouwer, Dick Behan and Greg Ewert, and has led a variety of trips over the past years through partnerships with various local organizations.

The stated goal of LOSVOP was to educate Lopezians in the traditions, skills and other dimensions of seafaring in small boats, through both “classroom” and “on board” programming.

The nature of our programs has changed over the years as the needs of the community and requirements of running programs has changed, but we remain committed to finding ways for local kids to explore their local marine environment by boat!
